Select link to Livestream serviceIt is with great sadness that the family of Linda Hughes Reagan, age 79, of Rex, Georgia, announces her passing on May 31, 2021. Linda was born in Lawrenceville, Gwinnett County, Georgia on October 20, 1941. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Clifford Eugene Reagan; her parents, Elmer Barker Hughes and Lucy Rainey Hughes; her step-father, Luke Joel Brooks, and her brother, Pastor Kenneth R. “Big Dad” Hughes. Linda is survived by her devoted daughter, Joy Reagan Moore and her husband, Terry Moore of Stockbridge, Georgia; grandson, Wesley Moore and his wife, Tania Javadi Moore; Wesley’s in-laws, Michel and Shaby Javadi and their daughter, Tiffany Javadi of Alpharetta, Georgia; step-daughter, Denise Reagan Kidd of Knoxville, Tennessee; granddaughter, Cindy Kidd of Knoxville, Tennessee; sister, Joanne Hewatt of Grayson, Georgia; nieces, Misti Hewatt Yang and her husband, Bobby Yang, of Hyattsville, Maryland; and Shanda Hewatt Wread of Augusta, Georgia; sister-in-law, Betty Beaver Hughes of Snellville, Georgia; other relatives and a host of friends.Linda was a 1959 graduate of South Gwinnett High School where she was a member of the Beta Club, F.H.A., Glee Club, Letter Club, F.B.L.A., Annual Staff, Treasurer of the Senior Class and the Girls’ Basketball team. Her first paying job at 8 or 9 years of age was picking cotton for her Grandpa Brooks. Linda worked as an Office Manager for over 30 years in commercial real estate appraisal and retired from Dixie Concrete Company after 20 years of service at 73 years of age. She loved music and dancing. She was an avid reader, enjoyed the beach and spending time with her family. She was an amazing cook. Linda was a member of Stockbridge United Methodist Church.Due to COVID-19 regulations, our staff is committed to taking care of our guests and families that we serve. We also ask all guests and family members attending the visitation and service to please continue social distancing and if desired to bring and wear a mask.The Service Honoring the Life of Linda Hughes Reagan will be held Sunday, June 6, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel. Interment will follow at Haynes Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, 3995 Rosebud Road, Loganville, Georgia 30052. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 12:00 o’clock to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home before the service.
