Libba Leverett, age 83 of Snellville, GA passed away Monday, October 18, 2021 surrounded by her adoring family. She is preceded in death by her parents Grady and Winnie Wilkins of Wadley, AL, and her loving husband and best friend for 60 years Joe Leverett. She is survived by her children Denise Leverett of Pelham, AL and Kenny Leverett of Dallas, GA, daughter-in-law Leve Leverett, grandchildren Brittany Richardson, Chelsea Wynn, Mark Leverett, Sydney Leverett; great-grandchildren Taylor Wynn and Emmett Richardson.Libba was born January 10, 1938 in Wadley, AL, and graduated from Lafayette High School, worked as an administrative assistance for Coca-Cola, a realtor at Coldwell Banker. She was also a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Snellville and involved in her Sunday School Friendship Class.Libba married Joe in 1957 and enjoyed traveling and living around the world in the Air Force to places like Germany, Taiwan and many states across the U.S. They enjoyed traveling, camping, bowling, card games, spending time with family and especially taking cruises as they sailed on 68 fun filled cruises. Everywhere they traveled they always met a new friend.Libba was a devoted wife, parent, grandmother and friend that was always involved in her children’s and grandchildren’s lives and activities. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, reading, crafts, playing bunco, and was a huge fan of the Atlanta Braves and especially the Georgia Bulldogs!The Memorial Service to honor and Celebrate the life of Libba Leverett will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021 at 1 PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel, Snellville Georgia. The Inurnment will be held at Georgia National Cemetery at a later date. Pastor Jimmy Slick will officiate the services. The family will receive friends on Friday, October, 29, 2021 from 11 AM to 1 PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or the charity of your choice.Due to COVID-19 regulations, our staff is committed to taking care of our guests and families that we serve.
