Karri Lynn Kearney

The family appreciates your prayers during this time. Karri “Kate” Lynn Kearney was a loving wife, mother, grandmother (“grams”), sister and friend. She passed away peacefully on April 24, 2022 at the age of 64 years old. Karri was surrounded by her loved ones, who will continue to honor her amazing legacy. She is preceded in death by her father James “Jim” Pickett. She is survived by her 3 children, Jenny Lynn Palmer, Jonathan “Lil John” Kearney, and Sara Mai (Kearney); her mother, Patsy “Pat” Keller; her loving husband and soul mate, John Wayne Kearney; siblings, Sandra “Sandi” Stacey, Mike Pickett, and Robert “Bobby” Pickett; her 5 grandchildren, Kalab McDole, Jarron Kearney, Skylar Watkins, Todd Kearney and Selyne Kearney. Karri was born on February 24, 1958 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Patsy “Pat” Keller (Bartlett) and James “Jim” Pickett. Karri married Lane Sidney Palmer on April 26, 1975 and had one daughter, Jenny Lynn Palmer. She later married John Wayne Kearney on May 4, 1990 and had one daughter, Sara Hunt Mai (Kearney) and one son, Johnathan “Lil John” Kearney. She was most known for her selfless nature, kind heart, and altruistic values. No matter what it was or how difficult it might have been, Karri always put her family before herself. Karri was the rock; a superhero to her family. She was constant, and was always someone everyone could fall back on. She taught others how to love, how to laugh and how to push themselves beyond their limits and to always move forward. Karri taught others that the only way you fail is if you quit. Karri was a fighter, and she fought until the very end. Her memory is everlasting and eternal. May she find peace. There are no services planned at this time. The family does request that in lieu of flowers that you consider a memorial donation to her husband, John Kearney, The American Lung Association or the Truth Initative in memory of Karri “Kate” Kearney.
