The family appreciates your prayers during this time. Joseph “Joe” Charles Barnett age 79, of Snellville, GA., passed away Thursday, April 21, 2022. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Elsie Landers; father, Jack Barnett; mother, Louise Barnett; brothers, Gary Barnett and Jimmy Barnett. He is survived by his wife, Julia Barnett; sister, Sandra Parks; daughter, Sherri Butler; son’s, Terry and Gary Barnett, 12 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren. Joe was born in Atlanta, GA., on September 30, 1942. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a Vietnam Veteran. He and Julia were married for 30 years. He spent his career driving for ABF Trucking Company. The graveside service to celebrate the life of Joseph Charles Barnett will be held on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at 11:30 AM at Melwood Cemetery, Stone Mountain, GA. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 24, 2022 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel, Snellville, GA.
