John Leroy Seliner Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

John Leroy Seliner, age 100 formerly of Lilburn, GA. passed away Friday, January 14, 2022. John leaves behind four children, Audra & Bill Cunningham, Gary and Kris Seliner, Roger Seliner, and Linda & Jeff Lowenberg; 5 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and 8 great great grandchildren; he also leaves his beloved pets, Tater and Willow to the care of their extended family. John was born in Palmyra, MO. He grew up in Quincy, Ill where he enlisted in the US Air Force and served during World War II as a Sgt. Later he moved his family to San Bernardino where he served as a City Police Officer, retiring as a Captain. He went on to work in retail until another move to Lilburn, GA. He worked with Dekalb County Public Safety as an ID/Evidence Officer and Crime Scene Investigator. Upon retirement he went work with Stone Mountain as a Park Ranger where he would oversee activities at the top of the mountain. He finally retired for good at the age of eighty-two. The graveside service to honor and celebrate the life of John Leroy Seliner will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens, Snellville, GA.
