James "Jimmy" Willingham

James “Jimmy” Frank Willingham, age 68 of Snellville, GA, passed away Monday, July 26, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Buddy and Thelma Willingham. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Hester Willingham; children, Rachel Willingham and Jared Willingham; siblings, Buddy Willingham, Sandy Froelich, and Nancy Sharpless; father-in-law, Bob Hester; and his many nieces and nephews.Jimmy was born in Decatur, GA, and attended Columbia High School. He worked in the printing business and later in landscaping. Jimmy was also a coach for his son’s little league baseball and basketball teams. Jimmy enjoyed the Atlanta Falcons and UGA football teams. He loved spending time outdoors at the lake, beach, mountains, and especially Savannah with his family. He was an avid listener of Rock n Roll music and doted on his 2 golden retrievers, Sydney and Darcy.A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 8, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 8, 2021 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Jimmy was not a fan of formal attire such as suits and ties.
