James “Jim” Walter Perry, 74, born and raised in Enon, Louisiana and resided in Grayson, Georgia, passed away on Monday, June 6th from a sudden heart attack.He served in the Army from 1967-1971. He was self-employed as a cabinet maker and loved working with his hands. He served faithfully at Cross Pointe Church for many years.He is survived by his wife, Sharon Perry, Daughter, Allison Gonzalez (Rob), grandchildren, Madeline, Gavin, Isabella, Adrian and siblings John Perry, Ray Perry and Betty Womble.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CarePointe at CrossPointe Church in Duluth, Georgia. I met Jim as a Property Manager while living in Ga. He was a State Inspector who would get selected for many of my properties. Through this time I learned about his skills in cabinetry and his love of Bar-B-Q and the church ministries.Most of all, he would mention his love of his family and Sharon and their accomplishments. It has been many years since I have seen him but he was always a kind and generous man who loved life to the fullest. He will be missed by us all.

Aunt Sharon and Allison, we were deeply saddened to get the phone call from Pop on Monday. I'm deeply sorry we won't be able to attend the service. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you all. I hope there's catfish in Heaven because no one could pick a catfish as clean as Uncle James. We love you all. Andy, Tana and Dylan Perry.

My deepest sympathy to Sharon and family as we all grieve the loss of one of the great ones. Jim always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. And that laugh!!! What a great sound!! He knew how to light up a room and bring joy & happiness to those around him! I will never forget how, when times were difficult, he could always put a smile on my face. He will be truly missed.
