Please select this link to view the services of Genevieve “Jenny” Winters. Genevieve “Jenny” Winters age 92 of Lawrenceville, GA., passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022. She was preceded in death by parents, Jacob Bronder and MaryJane Jaap Bronder; daughter, Joyce Shoemaker (Cort); and grandson-in-law, Joshua Smolen. She is survived by children, Wayne Winters (Carol), Bob Winters (Marybeth), Debbie Craig (Scott), and Donna Sisley (Terry); grandchildren, Stephanie Winters, Katie Campbell (Paul), Kim Winters, Laura Smolen, Amanda Dukes (Jake), Robin Winters, Holly Tubbs (Ryan), Bobby Winters (Casey), Jackie Sisley, Stephen Shoemaker, and Elizabeth Sisley; great-grandchildren, Dominic Smolen, Warren Smolen, and Ella Campbell; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. Jenny was loved immensely by her family and known as Gram to most. She was a caring mother of five, loving sister and aunt, grandmother to eleven, great-grandmother to three, and a sweet friend. Ms. Jenny was a dedicated and devoted volunteer at two Gwinnett County Elementary Schools, Gwin Oaks and WC Britt, for over 20 years. Spending time in the kitchen making appetizing meals and baking delicious desserts was something she truly enjoyed. She compiled all of her favorite recipes and assembled a personalized cook book for each of her grandchildren. Each morning she looked forward to greeting her rescue dog, Miles, whom she adored. Known for her beautiful orchids, she had a natural talent for growing plants. She was a passionate cross-stitcher and made countless treasures for all of her loved ones to cherish. A Memorial Service with be held at Grace 1123 House on Friday, February 4, 2022 at 6:00 PM, 1123 Dogwood Road, Snellville, GA, 30078. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider making a donation to Gwin Oaks Elementary School Library, 400 Gwin Oaks Drive, Lawrenceville, GA 30044.
