Florence Burroughs

The family appreciates your prayers during this time. Florence Craven Burroughs age 95, of Cumming, GA., passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2022. Florence was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Merrill Burroughs; her parents, Otis and Martina Craven; and brother, James Craven. She is survived by her son, David Burroughs (Christi); daughter Debra McEwen (Scot); her grandchildren, Travis, Eryn and Vanessa; great grandchildren, Logan and Ansley; sister, Betty Nelson; brother, William Craven; and numerous nieces and nephews. Florence was a lifelong, devout Roman Catholic. She worked over 3 decades as an Administrative Assistant at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School in Decatur, Georgia. Florence loved her family and loved doing things for them all especially cooking. She enjoyed reading, crafting, sewing and cleaning. She was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her. The funeral mass to celebrate the life of Florence Craven Burroughs will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 10:30 AM at St. Oliver Plunkett Catholic Church, Snellville, GA. Burial will follow at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens, Snellville, GA. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 22, 2022 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel, Snellville, GA.
