Floremar Maamo Perez

Floremar Maamo Perez, 66, of Suwanee, GA was called home to be with the Lord on May 31, 2021. He was 66 years old. He passed in his sleep, free of pain and suffering.Pastor Emar began his 40+ years of ministry as a Youth and Associate Pastor of Agape Evangelistic Mission in Cabadbaran, Agusan del Norte, Philippines. Upon coming to the US in 1988 he served as an Elder at Glad Tidings Church in Bronx, NY. He would lead Bible studies in NY and continued when he moved to GA. He served his last 21 years as Lead Pastor of Filipino American Christian Church in Lilburn, Georgia. Through his ministry he has led countless lives to the Lord remaining faithful to God’s calling, even preaching his final Sunday here on earth.Apart from his church ministry he was very much a family man and friend to so many. Listening to his sermons one could tell he was so proud to have a family who all serve alongside him in the ministry. He showed people his love through his cooking, jokes and conversing with others, always making time to listen to peoples’ problems and concerns and praying for them.His hobbies included writing eloquent and thought-provoking posts, reading books, following politics, cooking and eating delicious food, singing, gardening, and traveling, just to name a few. He was indeed a Renaissance man.He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Ruth, his sons Adrian, 31, and David, 24, his brother, Jesur, numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family and friends.A funeral service honoring the life of Floremar will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 3:00pm at Tom M.
