She is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Ralph C. Elam; and her sister, Charlotte Getsinger. Evelyn is survived by her brother, Glen Stovall; and leaves behind two children, Mark (Karen) and Jason (Tamy); and 7 grandchildren, Jason Jr., Jordan, Julianna, Joshua, Jackson, Jude and Ezekiel. Evelyn was born in Atlanta on October 31, 1929. She played the piano and organ at church for many decades and was dedicated to her beloved bible-study, which she hosted for numerous years in her home. She was an avid football fan and loved to play dominos. She was also a talented artist. The funeral service to celebrate the life of Evelyn Naomi Elam will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel, Snellville, GA. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Snellville, GA. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
