She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Eugene (Bill) Finley of Snellville, GA; daughter, Linda (Mike) Magnus, of St. Augustine, FL; father and mother, Audie M. Wade and Essie Drummond Wade; sisters, Audie Mae Wade, Wilma W. Butler, Ann Nell Holman, Barbara Wade Smith, and Claudine Johnson; and brothers, James Wade and Robert W. Wade. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Ferrell) Gilmer of Athens, GA; son, Michael (Mike) Finley of Snellville, GA; granddaughters, Kimberly Finley and Carly Magnus; grandsons, Joey (Lorien) Magnus and Blake Gilmer; great-granddaughters, Hannah Nix, Charlotte Magnus, and Felicity Magnus; great-grandson, Clayton Griffin; sister, Opal W. (Jerry) Baker of Good Hope, GA; and several nieces and nephews. Ellen was employed by The Brand Banking Company, in Lawrenceville and Snellville offices for over 37 ½ years. Her membership is at Grace Baptist Church, Hwy 124, Snellville, GA. She loved working in her flowers and yard. She also had great pleasure with helping family members as they needed. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was what kept her active and exercising more. Ellen loved when she and her sister, Ann Nell Holman, attended retiree lunches when they could. The Brand Banking retirement luncheon was held Wednesday’s in different locations, in Gwinnett County. The family would like to thank Dr. Satvir Singh, Jessica Roberts, NP, lab personnel, nurses, and staff for the great care she received at Suburban Hematology Oncology, in Snellville, GA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations, in memory of Ellen Wade Finley, may be made to the Patient Advocate Foundation, 421 Butler Farm Rd., Hampton, VA 23666, the Healthwell Foundation, P. O. Box 220410, Chantilly, VA 20153-0410, Patient Access Network, P. O. Box 221858. Charlotte, NC 28222-1858 and American Heart Association, www.heart.org. The funeral service will be held on Monday, February 1, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel. Pastor Brian Boyles will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens, Snellville, GA. The family will receive friends on Monday from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
