Dorothy B. Bates, of Lawrenceville, GA, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia, to Juanita Hood and D. Van Underwood on October 15, 1928. Dorothy is survived by her husband, Wyndle L. Bates, Sr.; children, Michael V. (Jo) Holcomb, Jack (Ann) Holcomb, Angela (Tom) Oaks; stepson, Wyndle Bates Jr.; grandchildren, David (Stephanie) Holcomb, Chris (Laura) Holcomb, Teresa (Neal) McMinn, Jordan Simpson, Patrick Simpson, Hollie Oaks, Eillen Dobeck, Patrick Oaks, and Wyndle Bates III; great-grandchildren, Grayson and Jillian Holcomb, Landon Phillips, Cadence Simpson, and Lamyra Bates; sister, Vickie (Roger) Imsande; nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. A service to celebrate the life of Dorothy will be held on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Crossroads Church of Dunwoody, 4805 Tilly Mill Rd, Dunwoody, GA 30360. The family will receive friends at Crossroads Church of Dunwoody from 2:00 PM until the hour of service.
