She was preceded in death by her parents, Lamar and Opal Cooper; husband, Clyde Thomas McGahee, Sr. She is survived by her 3 children, Cynthia Jordan of Tucker, GA, Clyde T. McGahee, Jr. (Tommy) of Mechanicsville, MD and Tammie McGahee of Tucker, GA; grandchildren, Corey McGahee of Florida, Benjamin and Hannah Jordan both of Tucker, GA; as well as several cousins. Dinell had a full life and enjoyed having fun and going places with her friends. She loved cooking and making stuff for parties. She had a collection of Butterflies. She was known as the “Butterfly Lady” because she always had one on her shoulder, lapel, and in her hair. She would always share her love for the Lord by telling others the meaning of the Butterfly and that it represented a new life and new beginning in Jesus Christ. She graduated from Avondale High School in 1958. Not only did she love singing in the Adult Choir at Snellville First Baptist Church, she also loved her Sunday School Class. The funeral service to celebrate the life of Dinell Cooper McGahee will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel. Interment will follow at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens, Snellville, GA. The family will receive friends on Saturday, prior to the service from, 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the funeral home.
