Dale Salley

Dale Roberts Salley, age 68 of Lilburn, Georgia passed away August 15, 2019. Dale leaves behind her beloved husband Phil Salley, her children Ben and Katie Salley, as well as her sister and brother-in-law Kathie and Barry Bost, their children Riley and Aaron; and her sister-in-law Pat Watson and her children Bonnie and Jason.Dale was born in Columbia, South Carolina where she and her husband once owned an art gallery with friends. In the 60's she was a hippie with bells on her ankles and hair to her waist. Later she made Lilburn, Georgia her home, where she became the Director of Children's Ministries at Snellville United Methodist Church. In later years she kept children in her home, helping to raise many children with as much love and care as she did for her own.Dale enjoyed photography, travel, and above all else, reading. A wicked Jeopardy participant when she so chose, she also enjoyed cheating at most games, but only in favor of her opponents.Our family games of Uno (cut-throat, blood-thirsty, and unending) will never be the same.We love you.The Funeral Service to honor and celebrate the life of Dale Salley will be held on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel. Interment will follow at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens, Snellville, GA. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 17, 2019 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
