Charlotte Johnson Williams passed away on February 25, 2022 at the age of 86, in her Snellville home with family by her side. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and cherished friend. Her love and concern for others never wavered throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Harold (Cotton) Williams; father, Jackson Floyd Johnson; mother, Kate Bennett Johnson; infant sister, Betty Lynn Johnson; brother, Joseph Johnson; father-in-law, O.P. Williams; and mother-in-law, Elizabeth Hiter Williams. She is survived by her two children, T.H. (Nancy) Williams of Madison, and Charlene Williams (Art) Canady, of Covington. Grandchildren, Tishia Fenn, of Monroe; Trey H. (Courtney) Williams of Biloxi, MS, and Brianna Canady (Jared) Simmons, of Birmingham, AL. Great grandsons, Eli Fenn and Graham Fenn, both of Monroe; Jonas Cooper and Holt Williams, both of Biloxi, MS; sister, Loraine Davis, and her sister-in-law, Laura Johnson. After graduating from Snellville High School in 1953, Charlotte attended Business School and worked for Georgia Power. She retired after 30 years with the University of Georgia Extension Service. Charlotte enjoyed her time volunteering with The Miss Gwinnett County Scholarship Pageant and The Miss Gwinnett County Youth pageants. She loved her Georgia Bulldogs, game day friends playing 5 deck canasta, and her circle. Mrs. Williams was a longtime member of Snellville United Methodist Church, a leader, matriarch, mentor, and pillar of our community. The family would like to thank everyone for your prayers, visits, food, calls, and best of all, love. Thanks to Agape Hospice and Golden Home Services, (Eunice), for their excellent care and compassion for Charlotte and the family as well. The service to celebrate the life of Charlotte Louise Williams will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Snellville United Methodist Church, Snellville, GA. Dr. Quincy D. Brown, Dr. James Cantrell and Pastor Harlen Davis will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Snellville Historical Cemetery, Snellville, GA. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 18, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel and prior to the service from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at the church. The family would like to offer her friends to honor Charlotte in lieu of flowers, by giving to one of her favorite charities.
