On July 20, 1948 in Manhattan New York, Vivian Le May Allen and Archer Allen welcomed their first son, Charles Archer Allen, to the world. He had four brothers, Herbert (deceased), Richard (deceased), Stephen and Theodore Allen. He also had three sisters, Aida (deceased), Lorraine and Debra (deceased). Charles lived in Brooklyn during his childhood years and served two years in the Unites States Army from November 1968 to March 1970. He lived in Los Angeles, California off and on over his years, where he worked as a Retail Area Supervisor and a Security Supervisor. Charles also had a love for the Music Industry as a singer and song writer. While living in New York, he also worked in Security as a Taxicab driver and trick photography to name a few. Charles was blessed with two children, Charlotte Cowart and Charles Archer Allen, Jr. Charles touched the hearts and lives of all those with whom he shared. He was a hardworking man known for being the life of the party. He loved his nieces and nephews tremendously and was often seen as a father figure for them. Charles was passionate about his love for his family and always wanted the best for them. On July 28, 2021, God called Charles home at the age of 73. He had a full life and will be missed for his ability to make you laugh and provide inspiration when needed. He leaves behind one daughter, Charlotte; one son, Charles Jr.; four grandchildren, Faychon, Sandra, Naiya and Airica; three siblings, Lorraine, Stephen, and Theodore Allen; sister-in-law, Darnell Edwards-Allen; a host of nieces and nephews, Patricia, Carmelita, Nancy, Raheim, Shamelle, Sidney, Shaka, James, Quintin, Deanna and Glenda; great-nieces and great-nephews, Nicole, Melissa, Jacqueline, Serenity, Nairobi, Jabryl, Nia, Amber and Autumn; and a host of other family and friends. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel. Due to COVID-19 regulations, our staff is committed to taking care of our guests and families that we serve.
