Catherine Ann Hutchins, age 90, of Lawrenceville, GA passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2017. She is survived by her nephew Rick Caviness of Dacula, GA and Stanley Hutchins and his wife Shirley; 4 sisters and 2 brothers; as well as neighbor, James Carter.A Funeral Mass Honoring the Life of Catherine will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 11AM at St. John Neumann Catholic Church with Fr. Sonny Punnakuziyil officiating. Interment will follow in White Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 6th from 4pm-8pm at Tom M. We tried to get in touch with Kitty several times and feared that she has passed on. Found her obit and just so saddened that she is gone, however, all of us have many precious memories which keeps our loved ones close to our heart. Our first home was sharing an apartment in Limestone, Maine with Kitty and Hutch. Oh my gosh, we shared such happy times with them and kept in touch over the years. We visited them in GA a couple of times and wrote and phoned over the years. When Hutch died, it was such a shock and we knew that Kitty would hold him forever in her heart. They were wonderful friends to us at a time that we were just starting our life together and we always felt close to them whether near or far away. We will miss Kitty but take solace in knowing that she is with Hutch, the love of her life. Our sincere sympathy goes out to the family and friends. We send peace and love to each of you.

Aunt Kitty you will be truly missed by everyone you have ever graced your presence with. I have sat and listened to your wonderful stories for many years now and was in awe that you remembered so many from your childhood.
You always spoke highly of your siblings in Newfoundland and held them in high regard. Many people will be saddened at your passing as will I. But I have the luxury of knowing you are in the kingdom of heaven with the very people you had spoken about and missed dearly.
Please know that on behalf of the Caviness family you were one of a kind and loved greatly. I always felt a sense of peace while in your company, I love you and miss you Rick.

Aunt kitty, I was so happy to spend some time with you two years ago. We looked at all your picture albums and you told me all about your life from marrying uncle hutch to the many places you lived throughout his military career. You lost him too early but you continued on with your life. You were a very strong and independent women whom I was proud to call my aunt. Your strong faith in God, helped you through the tough times. Your many contributions to society will be greatly remembered. Rest in peace my dear aunt. I am sorry to hear about Kitty's passing. My mother Madeline was trying to get a hold of her they are fellow Newf's and long time friends . I believe Kitty was in my mothers wedding. Kitty was a kind and caring person her door was always open whenever we were passing through. She is now with Hutch and my dad. My mother will truly miss talking to her and sharing stories of home (Newfoundland) and their single days and people they knew. I also remember Hutch who was a great character who was also full of wonderful stories and tales.

Miss Kitty you were truly part of our family. It was our blessing to take you to church when ever you needed us. We have truly lost a great prayer warrior...it will take many just to scratch the surface of how many rosaries and novenas she said on a daily basis for all her family and friends.
Our family also enjoyed all stories she told about her childhood. Miss Kitty you had a memory that was as clear as a bell. We love you. You can stop worrying and start relaxing...God has got you now.
