Billy Franklin Wiggs

March 12, 1933 - December 24, 2020

Mr. Wiggs went home to be with his Lord and Savior, on Thursday, December 24, 2020, after a long illness. He was blessed to have a long life of 87 years. He was born in Gadsden, Alabama to Grady and Mary Wiggs. He then served proudly in the United States Marines and was a sergeant, in the Korean War. After his military service, he and Barbara married and later moved to Tucker, Georgia, where he started his career as a residential builder, until he retired. He and his wife of 66 years, Barbara, loved to travel and camp. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Bill loved sports and spending time with his family, friends, and fishing in North Georgia with his sons. He was a member at Rehoboth Baptist Church, in Tucker. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Henry, Miles, Lamar, and Claude Wiggs; and great-grandson, Mason Owens. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Barbara Wiggs; their three sons, Mike (Colleen) Wiggs, Barry (Leisa) Wiggs, and Jeff Wiggs; two granddaughters, Jessica (John) Owens and Rebecca (Justin) Adkins; along with two great-granddaughters, Taylor and Jordyn Owens; and one great-grandson, Cole Adkins. The family wish to thank Sacred Journey Hospice, other hospice services, and the many CNAs, nurses, and staff for their service, in helping take care of Mr. Wiggs. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 11:00 AM at North Atlanta Memorial Park, Dunwoody, GA. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 28, 2020 from 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Gideons International https://www.gideons.org/donate. Due to the current COVID-19 regulations, our staff is committed to taking care of our guests and families that we serve. Please understand that we will be limiting the amount of people at our chapel for visitations and services.
