Betty Moon Garmon

February 20, 1928 - March 18, 2022

Betty Moon Garmon, age 94, passed peacefully near her home in Snellville, Georgia, on March 18, 2022. She was the beloved wife of 74 years of Ray Garmon; devoted mother of Steven (Karen) Garmon; cherished grandmother of Teresa (Eric) Stolze and Scott Garmon and great-grandmother of Emilia Stolze; dear sister of her late siblings Helen Kirby, Evelyn Edge, Dorothy Henderson, Geraldine Watkins, Harriet Beckham, and Holmes Moon. She was treasured by every generation of her family and survived by many nieces and nephews. Betty attended Young Harris College prior to working at AT&T and as a paraprofessional at W.C. Britt Elementary. Betty was a committed member of Snellville First Baptist, now Church on Main, an avid gardener, and renowned for her traditional pecan pie at family gatherings. The funeral service to celebrate the life of Betty Moon Garmon will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel, Snellville, GA. Interment will follow at Grace Baptist Church Cemetery, Snellville, GA. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 21, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, as well as Tuesday, March 22, 2022 from 12:00 PM until the hour of service at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel.
