Please select this link to livestream the service for Mr. Arne Christian Olsen Arne Christian Olsen, age 78 of Stone Mountain, GA passed away on Wednesday December 22, 2021 after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Mercer Olsen; daughter, Kristine Olsen Mammola (Tony), Saratoga Springs, NY; brother, Tor L Olsen (Cathy Reposa) Manchester, CT; granddaughter, Caitlin Marie Dober, Schenectady, NY; great grandchildren, Audrey and Adrian Brown; and many cousins in the USA and Norway. He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Eric Martin Olsen; mother, Gerd Folkadal Olsen; and father, Olaus Olsen. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Mr. Olsen, served 3 years in the United States Air Force and 20 years in the Air Guard Reserves in Schenectady, New York and Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Olsen retired from General Electric where he worked as a computer analyst. He also worked at Domtar Corp. Atlanta, GA. where he wrote computer code. Mr. Olsen parents were Norwegian immigrants and he was very proud of his Norwegian heritage. Mr. Olsen loved music, had a beautiful singing voice and played the keyboard. He loved camping with friends and biking and regularly biked the Silver Comet Trail and other parks around Atlanta, GA. Mr. Olsen was a man of faith and a true worshiper of God. His greatest joy was to tell people of God’s love for them. Mr. Olsen was a member of the Tabernacle Assembly of God, Schenectady, NY where he was the worship leader. For the last 15 years of his life he attended church at Daystar Atlanta where he sang in the choir and was co- director of the Sozo inner healing ministry. The memorial service to honor and celebrate the life of Arne Christian Olsen will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel;, Snellville, GA. The family will receive friend prior to the service from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the funeral home.
