He was preceded in death by grandparents, Ofelia and Fernando Perez, and JoAnne Barr. He is survived by mother and father, Casandra and Alfredo Perez; brothers, Alfredo (Helena) Perez, Antonio Perez, Adam Perez (Annie Huryk), Andrew (Lauren) Perez; and sister, Mary Perez; and grandfather, Harold Morrison and niece, Ofelia Perez (daughter of Andrew and Lauren).Alex Perez graduated from Parkview High School (2007) and attended Perimeter and Georgia State University. Alex distinguished himself with outstanding performance everywhere he worked. He held a variety of roles at major corporations like FedEx, NCR, Cox Enterprises, Flowers Bakery and most recently Coca-Cola as a Maintenance Technician II. He was intelligent and dedicated, a good problem solver with great leadership skills. He knew a lot and what he did not know, he studied intensely until he mastered it. Always detailed in his analysis, the type of person who read ALL the warnings and notices in the prescription pamphlets. As a teenager he would source components and build his own PCs along with his brothers. They all shared and engaged with each other through computers and gaming. A most intense young man, kind and generous with his support of others. He loved music and was a gifted musician, especially playing bass and electric guitar, primarily heavy metal. Dream Theater, Iron Maiden, Rush could all be counted among his favorites, that also included Taylor Swift and Sinatra.Alex shared a kindred spirit with all animals, displaying a deep love and affection for every pet by giving ‘deep tissue massages’ or playing fetch. A performance car enthusiast of Mustangs and Ford Performance vehicles in general as well as an aviation enthusiast of WWII fighters. Alex was also an avid reader and movie buff, but especially if the movie was in Dolby, iMax, 3-D or any combination thereof. He enjoyed rooting for the Braves and Falcons.Though Ferris Bueller’s character was not modeled after him, it may as well have been. Ask anyone who knew him, Alex took everything to the limit…and then pushed it just a little more. Alex will be truly missed by his family, friends, and co-workers, and never forgotten. While he suffered here on earth, we believe he can now enjoy eternal life in heaven.A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at 2:00 PM at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Lilburn, Georgia.
