Alan Hamel

Alan Hamel, age 61 of Snellville, GA, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2019, after enduring a lengthy illness. He is the son of the late, Arthur and Eleanor Hamel of Framingham, MA; and brother of the late, Sandra Hamel of Framingham. He leaves behind his brother, David & wife Janice of Snellville; sister, Susan Hamel Demelia of Framingham; nieces & nephews, Jessi L. Kraus & husband, Chris Kraus, Kelsey L. Hamel & wife Danielle Treadaway of Loganville, Eric Demelia of Framingham, MA; and great nephews, Gage, Brodie, and Brannon.Alan was a native of Snellville, GA. He was born in Framingham, Massachusetts, but lived most of his life in Georgia. Alan attended Clarkston Adult High School and worked as a mechanic for Marta. He retired from Marta after over 30 years of service. He was a member of the Mechanics Union and St. Ann’s Church in Peabody, Massachusetts. Alan enjoyed fishing, muscle cars, and investing. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends whom dearly loved him.The Funeral Service to honor and celebrate the life of Alan Hamel will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at 7:00 PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
