V. Lucile Smith passed away Saturday, August 5, 2017. She was the life of the party and had a beautiful soul. Her laughter was infectious … always laughing and never met a stranger. She was the absolute best mother and grandmother. She just celebrated 55 years of marriage to her loving husband, Al, who treated her like a queen. She was loved by all!She was preceded in death by her parents Hubert and Ora Allen; brothers, H.F. Allen, Marvin Allen, Herbert Allen; sisters, Vera Garcia, and Vida Stidd. Lucile is survived by her husband Alfred (Al), her daughters Debra and husband Bill Shannon, Cindy Smith, her son David and wife Barbara Smith. Grandsons: Robby and Lauran Shannon, Taylor and Claire Shannon, Mitch Shannon, Cory and Ashley Holcomb. Granddaughter: Courtney Kirkland. She has 7 great grandchildren. Her sisters: Virginia Camp, Vicki Owens and brother Glen and Suzie Allen. Many nieces and nephews.The Service to Honor and Celebrate the Life of Vonnie Smith will be held Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 1:00 PM, Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel, Snellville, GA. Interment will follow at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens, Snellville, GA.
