Teressa Carter Cheek, age 63, of Lilburn, GA passed away Saturday, October 18, 2014. She was preceded in death by her mother in 2006, Lena B. Carter. She is survived by her loving husband, Burt Cheek; father, John C. Carter, Jr. of Lawrenceville, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Becky and Barry Turner of Lawrenceville, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Suzanne Carter of Dallas, GA; nephew, Brad Carter and his wife Kelli of Dallas, GA; niece, Leah Carter of Dallas, GA; sister-in-law, Kathy Cheek of Braselton, GA; niece, Lauren Young and her husband Howard of Lawrenceville, GA; and nephew, Lance Evans and his wife Stephanie of Cumming, GA.Mrs. Cheek graduated from DeKalb College, and was a dental hygienist at Northlake Dental Partners for 45 years. She was a member of Tucker First Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, and reading.A Funeral Service to Honor the Life of Teressa Carter Cheek will be held Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at 2PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel, with Gary Choate officiating. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 21, 2014 from 4PM until 8PM, and Wednesday beginning at 12Noon at the funeral home.
