Sharon Lynn Stone-McGlade age 44, of Lawrenceville, GA, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017. Sharon is survived by her children, Christopher McGlade and Chancellor McGlade, her parents, Ted and Linda Stone, her siblings, Michael A. Stone and Elizabeth Stone, her nieces, Lauren Stone and Olivia Bowman and numerous cousins.Sharon Lynn Stone-McGlade was a loving and kind soul. A daughter, sister, mother and friend that was full of life and humor. She was known for her excellent cooking… man we’ll miss that caramel cake. Sharon had a love of the beach and took any opportunity she could to be at her favorite place in the world, Florida. She had traveled all over the United States, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. She had a knack for shopping, and if it was not on sale it was not going into her cart. Mother was so thoughtful of others, she even started shopping for next year’s Christmas by now. She was a graduate of University of North Georgia and was a sister in the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority. Her work for the State of Georgia allowed her to touch so many lives, and I know all those she touched are truly thankful for all she did for them. She will be truly missed by her family and anyone who had the pleasure to know her.A Gathering will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2017 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel to Honor and Celebrate Sharon’s life. My sincere condolences to you all.
Sharon was my boss and friend and I loved her. I feel so blessed to have known her and been a small part of her life. Her kindness, compassion, wisdom and laughter are unmatched. I am a better person because of Sharon and for that I am so grateful. To all her family and friends I am truly sorry for your loss. You will be in my heart always my friend.
Gone but definitely NOT forgotten. You have touched all of us at Athens DAS and your vivacious spirit will live on in our hearts. Prayers, love and strength to your family/friends. Rest in Paradise
I'm still left totally stunned by the news of Sharon's passing. I remember all of us playing swimming and having such good times when we were younger. Jim & Gwen's house was a magnet of fun. I can still hear Jeff calling Sharon ShareBear. God be with the family and friends in this difficult time. Love you all.
