Roger Dale Couch

Roger D. Couch, age 50 of Concord, Georgia, passed away Sunday, August 5th, 2018. Roger was preceded in death by parents, Bill and Shirley Couch. Roger is survived by wife Angela D. Couch; children, Christopher D. Couch and David A. Couch; brother-in-law, Andrew J. Baker; along with a large extended family.Roger was a native of Concord, Georgia. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia, where Roger lived in several different cities but calling Concord home. Roger attended Riverdale high school. Roger worked countless different jobs over the years, working for Carolina Freight, ABF Freight, and starting full time at USF Holland in Ellenwood, Georgia on July 7, 1997. He was a member of Teamsters Local 728 where he was a second generation Teamster. Roger was a member of Pike County Assembly of God in Zebulon, Georgia, and enjoyed attending Lilla Baptist Church in Barnesville, Georgia. Roger enjoyed playing football and baseball as a child. Roger found love for motorcycles as he was growing up, where he would put on and attend charity motorcycle rides with friends and family. As Roger’s son David Couch got older, Roger would enjoy riding motorcycles together. Roger’s two son Chris and David also played baseball in Tyrone, Georgia, and played football at Sandy Creek High School (Chris) and Pike County High School (David), where Roger would spend time with his boys as much as possible from coaching them to cheering them on. In 2015, Roger got the opportunity to drive the football equipment truck for Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia, where he would enjoy traveling with his sons and his beloved wife Angela Couch. Roger’s most favorite hobby was spending 28 years with his loving wife Angela, getting married in Ruby Fall on February 17th 1990, and having an unconditionally loving marriage.The Funeral Service to honor and celebrate the life of Roger Dale Couch will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel. Interment will follow at Friendship Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Snellville, GA.
