Rodney C. Human

Rodney C. Human, age 73 of Lilburn, Georgia, passed away Friday, November, 18, 2016. He was preceded in death by parents, Richard Wade Human and Jean (Lankford) Human; a son, Dennis Human; and a brother, Larry Human. He is survived by his wife, Connie Human; 2 daughters, Denise Human of Marietta, Connie Human of Acworth; a son, Danny Human and his wife Jeanette of Suwanee; 3 grandchildren, Christopher Cruz, Gabriel Human, Ariel Human; 2 sisters, Michele Ronson of England, and Beverly Carter of England; aunt, Edo Cherry of Snellville; niece, Lisa Myer of Canton; and cousins, Linda Donahoo of Snellville, Mac Davis of Tennessee, and Donna Lee Casstevens of Waco, Texas.Born in Laredo, Texas, Rodney has lived in the Atlanta area almost all of his life. During his career in furniture sales, he worked for Rich’s Department Store and Rhodes Furniture. After his retirement, he enjoyed handcrafting furniture and finding unique items to “re-purpose” and sell at various antique markets—with his longest tenure at Five Forks Antique Mall in Lilburn. Rodney was an accomplished pool player who participated in several Atlanta area Leagues. In his early years, he enjoyed fishing and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and supporter. He will always be remembered for his witty sense of humor, his generosity with his time and talent toward anyone who needed his assistance, and the nicknames he bestowed upon everyone he met.The Service to Honor and Celebrate the Life of Rodney C. Human will be held on Friday, November, 25, 2016 at 3:00 PM, Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel, Snellville, GA. The family will receive friends on Friday, November, 25, 2016 at 2:00 until 3:00 PM, and 4:00 until 5:00 PM at Tom M. Wages Funeral Home, Snellville, GA. The family requests that those attending the visitation and funeral please dress casually in keeping with Rodney's style.
