Brenda Mcelhannon
Our hearts are saddened at Mike’s passing. He has been a loyal friend to my family for over fifty years. He embraced our family as we did him. He always came to our family gatherings and soon became our official photographer. Mike recorded our family events
in photos and movies. He made a video depicting special moments for all of us. He played Santa’s helper and brought Santa (Mike’s Dad) to our Christmas parties for several years. Mike was a very generous and caring man. He sought to help all he met. He truly made the last years of my mother’s life a blessing. He took her and my brother Alfred to places she had never been. She went camping with Mike and Alice. She had never camped in her life. He took them to country shows where on one occasion she met her favorite actor, Burt Reynolds. Thanks to Mike we have a video of this event. Mike was a Mason and a member of the Son’s of Confederal Veterans (SCV). He devoted his time and money to support these organizations. Mike received his 50 year apron from the Masons about two years ago and he invited me to atttend this monumental event. I was so proud of Mike.
Mike was a very special man and a true friend. He will be missed.
