Michael W. Mele, age 62, of Comer, GA, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Irma Mele; loving wife of 29 years, Cindy Mele; sister, Diana Mele; brothers, Frankie and Bobby Mele. Michael is survived by his daughter, Jenny Herrick; son, Michael Mele and his wife Tracie; grandchildren, Taylor, Melissa, Michelle, Lynsie Mele and Kyla, Caleb and Collin Mullinax as well as the anticipated arrival of Andi Mele; brother, Joseph Mele and his wife Becky; sisters, Christina and Theresa Mele and Mary Oberlander and her husband Jeff; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.Mike was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to all he met. He enjoyed car racing, wrestling and was an avid softball player. He enjoyed spending time with all of his grandchildren and treasured time spent at Go Cart races with Caleb and Collin and pampering “His Princess Kyla”. I recently found Mike on Facebook. I was friends with Diana his sister. We talked a bunch over the past year and finally met up three weeks ago and he drove me to his High School get together. He was a great friend and loved his family so much!
Mike lived across the street from us in Stone Mountain when I was a kid. He was like a big brother to me. Many good memories.
Our deepest condolences go out to Mike's family. I've known Mike since our days at Stone Mountain High School. We lost touch after graduation, but thankfully Doug and I had the pleasure of spending a lot of time with Mike in recent years. He came to our home to celebrate our marriage, Doug's 60th surprise birthday party and he attended many concerts I promoted. It was always such a pleasure to spend time with Mike. He had a heart of gold. He will be missed by all. Our prayers are with his family.

My condolences to Mikes family,brother and sisters.I've known Mike since high school.We lived in the same neighborhood and just a few houses down.Had a good memories running around with him.He was a good guy to be around and talk to.He will surely be missed.
