Michael Wayne Johnston, 67 of Norcross GA, passed from this life on September 23rd, 2018. Born in Nashville, Tennessee on September 1st 1951, to Dale and Johnnie Johnston. He married his high school sweetheart Teresa Dutton Johnston, daughter of Raymond Dutton and Faye Brock, on June 29th 1976 in Walhalla, South Carolina. The couple welcomed their son Shawn Michael Johnston into their lives in 1982. Mike took pride in the twenty years of service he enjoyed at Sams Club; in his spare time he loved to be outdoors, camping fishing, or being on the lake. He loved to go on weekend trips, especially to the mountains. There was never a time you could find Mike without a hot dog, bag of Fritos and a Diet Coke. Mike loved life and lived it to the fullest surrounded by those closest to him, he had a big heart and loved everyone greatly.Survived by Teresa Johnston of 44 years, Norcross; son Shawn Johnston, Good Hope; Mikes four-legged companion, Babygirl; sister-in-law and husband Wanda and Greg Ball, Acworth; sister-in-law and husband Rita and John Chamblee, Duluth; brother-in-law Jerry Williams and Cheyenne, Jersey; Dana and Ty King, Loganville; Michelle and Keith Forrester, Auburn; Mike loved his nieces and nephews as his own children and grandchildren. Cecily and Robby Lewis, Bri’Anna and Nick Parker, Gabrielle Ball , Ray and Jessica Phillips, Anthony Chamblee, Wyatt Williams, Melayna Williams. Great nieces and nephews Canon, Waverly, Zion, Lily’Anna, Sydney, Avery, Adelynn. Also, survived by three brothers Randy, Gary, Gordon and families; two sisters Linda, Sandy, and families; also preceded by two brothers Eddie, John and families.A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 12:00 PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the funeral home. As per Mikes request, please dress casual. Luncheon following service in community room immediately after, all welcome. Anyone wishing to bring food donations for luncheon please feel free to do so.
