She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Oscar Hendrix, Jr; daughter-in-law, Nancy Piper Hendrix; children, Vicki L. Dorsett, Harley Wayne Hendrix (Tina), Cindy Marie Parker (Larry), Janice Ruth Johns, Joseph Ryan Hendrix, and Oscar Franklin Hendrix III (Cheryl); 15 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; and sister, Ruth Burroughs. She is preceded in death by her son, Kerry Franklin Hendrix; grandson, Jason Paul Dorsett, granddaughter, Ida Elaine Parker, and son-in-law, Cleve Dorsett.The Graveside Service to honor and celebrate the life of Marie T. Hendrix will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens, Snellville, GA. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Beacon Heights Baptist Church, Madison, GA. John and I will never forget Marie.. We met Marie and J.R. first at Harmony Baptist Church and each Sunday was a delight not only worshiping the Lord, but the fellowship with the beautiful smiling Marie. She always lend something special to every conversation we had and the love that show between her and J.R. was very special. We send our sympathy to the family and J.R. and pray that God will give you the strength to meet each day.

I had the great pleasure of meeting Mrs. Marie and Mr. Oscar in 1995 and since then they have become very special to us. Mrs. Marie was a truly beautiful lady both inside and out, a true proverbs 31 woman and will be greatly missed. I can think of no greater honor than to be called her friend.
