Marian Rosalie Bennett Taylor, nee Fillion, age 90, born March 6, 1926, in Jacksonville, Florida, passed away in Snellville, Georgia, on February 8, 2017.She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Edward Taylor; her parents, Joseph Prudent and Clara Gosselin Fillion; and eight siblings, Herman R. Fillion, Laura Fillion Hendry, Carroll A. Fillion, Ernest P. Fillion, Frank J. Fillion, Stella Fillion Morrison, Bernard L. Fillion and Adrian J. Fillion.She was a graduate of Immaculate Conception High School, Jacksonville, Florida, and attended the Stenotype Institute of Jacksonville. She retired as an official court reporter for the Fourth Judicial Circuit of the State of Florida on April 1, 1988.Before moving to Lawrenceville, GA to spend the last years of her life with her daughter, she was a member of Assumption Catholic Church, Assumption Council of Catholic Women, St. Catherine Laboure Circle, Florida Court Reporters Association, National Court Reporters Association, USA Dance, Inc. and Jacksonville Ballroom Dance Association.Survivors include her daughter, Frances Bennett Gardner of Lawrenceville, GA; granddaughters, Catherine Zimmerman Marshburn of Garner, NC, and Shirley Zimmerman Rosselot (David) of Atlanta, GA; great granddaughters, Jennifer Marie Wotring of Raleigh, NC, and Evelyn Posea Rosselot of Atlanta, GA; one great grandson, Tanner Keith Marshburn of Garner, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews.The Graveside Service to honor and celebrate the life of Marian Taylor will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 2:00 PM, at Arlington Memorial Park, 201 Mount Vernon Hwy, Sandy Springs, GA 30328.Condolences may be sent or viewed at www.wagesfuneralhome.com.
