James Vowell age 86 of Loganville passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2018. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Montine; daughter and son-in-law Diana (Steve) Daniel; daughter Denise Booth; son and daughter in-law Donnie (Debbie) Vowell; 9 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his daughter Darlene Whittle. James worked for 61 years with the Local Union 85 as a sheet metal fabricator. He enjoyed hunting, yard selling, working in the yard and watching western movies and politics. In his younger years he was a Jack of All Trades. The family has chosen cremation. I remember the day I first met you and your wife you both welcomed my daughter and I into your home with loving open arms. I remember you sitting in your favorite chairs telling me stories about life and how to invest money and be successful. I learned a lot from you. My daughter loved you dearly too. I remember her climbing into your lap and giving you kisses all the time. I will never forget Rhonda babysitting her while I worked and Kaelyn telling me she was excited because she got to see you and Gege that day. You will be missed. May you Rest In Peace.

I remember when I asked him papa, when the bible says the Lord is my Shepard I shall not want..what did that mean because he is the Shepard I do want. What he told me will and has impacted my life that it meant I was his sheep and I will never want for anything.
