Imogene "Jean" Carlon Cantrell

Imogene “Jean” Carlon Cantrell, age 91, of Lawrenceville, GA went to be with the Lord, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, June 14, 2017. She is survived by her children, Mike (Teresa) Cantrell and Mark (Lori) Cantrell; grandchildren, Torrey (Jonathan) Kichler, Calvin (Laurel) Cantrell, Samuel (Tracey) Cantrell, Carly Cantrell, Sara Cantrell and Lilly Cantrell; great grandchildren, Cole and Cory Kichler; sister, Margie Taylor; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Grover and Ruby Goodson; husband, Joseph Doyle Cantrell; and brother, Terrell Goodson.Jean was born in Griffin, GA on September 17, 1925 and married Joseph Doyle Cantrell. The majority of her life Jean resided in the Brookhaven area. She faithfully served at Brookhaven Baptist Church and was dedicated to raising her sons. Family meant everything to Jean, especially the time that she was able to spend with her grandchildren. Most recently she developed close friendships at Garden Plaza, where she enjoyed playing Bridge. She deepened her love for the Lord through her involvement with the “Joy Sunday School Class” at Hebron Baptist Church.A Funeral Service Honoring the Life of Jean will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 2PM at Tom M. Wages Lawrenceville Chapel with Ken Fletcher officiating. Interment will follow at North Atlanta Memorial Park.
