MERRITT: Helen Caldonia Merritt, age 92 of Lilburn, GA passed away on April 14,2017.She was preceded in death by her husband Elmo Merritt; her two sons Roderick Merritt and Wade Merritt; parents, Chaney H. and Maebell Landress; brothers and sister in law Ralph Landress, and Gaston and Mary Sue Landress. She is survived by her son and daughter in law Melvin and Tracy Merritt; sister in law, Jean Landress; grandchildren, Jennifer Chambers, Ami Merritt, Kellie Mayes (Kris), Kyle Bennett (Shannon), Katie Bennett (Greg); 8 great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends also survive.Mrs. Merritt was a lifelong resident of the Luxomni Community. She was a member of Yellow River Baptist Church and the Luxomni Sewing Club.A Funeral Service Honoring the Life of Helen Caldonia Merritt will be held on Sunday, April 16, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Tom M. Wages Lawrenceville Chapel with Rev. Tim Taffar officiating. Interment will be held on Monday April 17, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Luxomni Baptist Church Cemetery in Lilburn. The family will receive friends from 2PM – 8PM on Saturday April 15, 2017 at Tom M. Wages Lawrenceville Chapel.
