Ernestine Bennett, age 51, of Atlanta, Georgia, entered into rest on Saturday, December 31, 2016, after a gallant fight to colon cancer. She is survived by her loving and devoted family; daughter, Gabrielle Bennett, son, Bruce Michael Bennett, Jr. both of Atlanta, GA; granddaughter, Gracelyn Bennett of Stone Mountain, GA; grandson, Kahlil Williams, Jr. of Atlanta, GA; mother, Irene London of Atlanta, GA; sisters, Emma Jackson of Tucker, GA, (Ernestine’s twin sister), Betty (Donnie) Webb of Conley, GA, Sylvia (James) Huntgate of Stockbridge, GA; brothers, Leon London, Bobby (Diane) London all of Decatur, GA, Darrell London and Bernard London both of Atlanta, GA; sister-in-law, Lurea McFadden of Trenton, NJ; brothers-in-law, Stacey Bennett of Trenton, NJ and Mark Bennett of Decatur, GA; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Ernestine was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Michael Bennett, Sr., father, Frank London, Sr., nephew, Tyler Jackson, and brother, Frank London, Jr.Ernestine was born on May 15, 1965 in Atlanta, Georgia, to Irene Johnson London and Frank J. London, Sr. She was a 1983 graduate of Walker High School and graduated from DeVry University with a Degree in Finance. She worked as a Financial Analyst for Dekalb Medical Center. Ernestine enjoyed watching romance movies, reading Christian books, loved eating a good meal, and her greatest joy was just being with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all that knew this remarkable lady.A Service to Honor the Life of Ernestine Bennett will be held Saturday, January 7, 2017, at 10:30 A.M. at Tom M. Wages Funeral Snellville Chapel, 3705 Stone Mountain Hwy., Snellville, GA 30039 with Adrian Bruce serving as the Eulogist. The family will receive friends an hour before the service. A reception will be held after the service from 11:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. in the Community Room at the funeral home.
