Donald "Don" Richter

Donald “Don” Robert Richter of Stone Mountain, GA, went to be with his Lord, August 29, 2016 after a hard fought battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his mother, Eleanor Krueger Richter; and grandparents. He is survived by his wife Pamela Floyd Richter, daughter Jennifer Blackburn McEnery (husband John); grand-daughters Kailin and Ryleigh McEnery; grand-son Thomas McEnery; father Robert Richter; sister Karen Smouse; nieces Kristin Smouse Cooper (husband Trae) and Jessica Smouse (husband Syoki Ryu). Don was born in Irvington, New Jersey on February 22, 1954. After earning his JD in law from Emory University he started work at Kurt Salmon; where he was still employed as a Systems Analyst. Don loved traveling with his wife, Pam. Don enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. One of his favorite hobbies was cooking. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 2 at 10:00am at Lutheran Church of the Messiah, 465 Clairemont Avenue, Decatur GA 30030. The family will receive friends after the service.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to either the American Cancer Society or the American Red Cross.
