Donald W. "Don" Keller

Donald W. “Don” Keller passed away September 21, 2017 peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family. He was a loving father, husband, and grandfather, and loved spending time with his family. Don loved his country and served for many years in the U.S. Air Force. He retired as Chief Master Sergeant after working at Dobbins Air Force Base for over 30 years. He has been a long time involved member of Mount Carmel Christian Church, and had many loving friends there.Don married Barbara Fowler on April 4, 1953 and had a loving marriage of 47 years prior to her death. He is survived by his 5 children, Kathy Whitaker, Karen (Jerry) Nolan, Kenny (Cindy) Keller, Kim (Ken) Gosnell, and Keith (Edie) Keller; and sister-in-law, Carolyn Smith. He was blessed with 11 loving grandchildren, Bo, Jeff, Amy, Brandi, Ryan, Whitney, Josh, Jon, Greg, Mathew, Kelsey; and 11 great- grandchildren, Chance, Aiden, Dru, Drake, Ella, Knightley, Adleigh, Myles, Emma, Sara, and Madelyn who he adored dearly. He also is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.Don was predeceased by his parents, Claude and Ethel Keller; 6 brothers and sisters, Glenn, Ross, Arch, Margaret, Mabel, and Evelyn; and brother-in-law, J.R. Smith. He was also predeceased by several nieces and nephews.The Service to honor and celebrate the life of Don Keller will be held on Monday, September 25, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Mount Carmel Christian Church, Stone Mountain, GA. Entombment will follow at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens, Snellville, GA. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 24, 2017 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Tom M.
