Clydie Salvadore

Clydie Marie Salvadore was granted her angel wings at age 86 on June 16th, 2016. She was born on November 29, 1929 as she spent most of her early life in Scottsville, Kentucky before residing in Loganville, Georgia. Clydie retired in the early 1990’s after a long career with the State of Georgia. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Clydie had touched in some small way throughout her life.She was an active member of Smoke Rise Baptist Church in Stone Mountain, Georgia and an avid Bridge player. Clydie loved to read her bible, praying for and with others, spending time with family, laughing and always wearing a smile on her face. She was a loving and caring person, devoted wife, mother, and friend, always thinking of others first.Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her husband Robert, children Mike and Andy, daughter-in-law Sara, granddaughter Heather, and many nieces and nephews: Vivian, Miles, Sheila, Magan and Katie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Katherine (Stamps) Calvert, a daughter Karen Marie Salvadore, and two sisters, Jessie Carver and Claudia Polston.Services will be held at 3:00 on Saturday, June 18th, 2016, at Smoke Rise Baptist Church, 5901 Hugh Howell Rd, Stone Mountain, Georgia with Dr. Chris George and Pastor Ernie Forrester officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the church. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Tucker.
