Christine Kay Coffey

Christine Kay Coffey, age 68, died Sunday, July 20, 2014. She was born 1 of 15 children, to the late Jackson and Novela Stephens of Russell Springs, KY on October 9, 1945. She graduated High School and later met and married her now late husband Paul Coffey, who died in May 1991, in Gwinnett County. Paul and Christine moved to Indianapolis in 1966, where she worked for Western Electric, until moving to Gwinnett County in the fall of 1984, to work for AT&T. She later retired with Lucent years after the company merger. She was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary at VFW Post 5255 in Lawrenceville. Christine has performed 100’s of hours of various charity work in Lawrenceville, as well as rescuing several animals, whom she took in as her own. She is survived by her only daughter and son-in-law; Christy and Christopher DeRousse of Bonaire, GA, 4 sisters and 6 brothers.A Service Honoring the Life of Christine Coffey will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2014, at 2:00 PM. with Pastor Paul Bertram, officiating.
