Lawrenceville Testimonials

Sometimes we all seem to get so tied up in our busy schedules to take time to do those things we should do.

While July 12 only seems like yesterday it also seems to be years ago.  One day you have a brother-in-law devoted to your sister as a husband and care giver and the next, gone.  It still seems like a dream.  But through it all there was one thing that was constant, real, and most of all, reassuring.... the staff of Wages Funeral Home from the first conversation that I had with Chris when we knew that Roy's time was short and we were going to need to prepare. From there, our calls to the funeral home that went to Barbara Peterson were either answered right then or routed to someone that quickly helped us.  Our first meeting with Valerie Wages - I can't say enough about the professionalism shown and the warmth that we felt.  I have never experienced such a high degree of both at the same time.  She displayed this throughout each and ever time we talked or met.  The arrival of Bo Roberts at the Hospice Center was the first contact with the funeral home after Roy's death.  Bo's approach to taking Roy made both my brother-in-law, Jack, and myself feel at ease with the process.  The manner in which he prepared Roy and handled him made both of us feel good.  Later, seeing Bo at the funeral was like a reunion and we all felt like he was part of the family.  Valerie's role through out the funeral process truly made all of us feel that she was a part of the family.  Her kind words, attention to our feelings, and words of encouragement again showed us that we made the right choice.  After the funeral at the reception we met Tim Hunter who later brought the flowers to Jan's apartment and stayed and talked to us as if we had known him a long time.  At the church after the funeral eating lunch Tom also got to know one of the grandchildren and he made her feel so good during a very sad time.

I cannot truly express in words how I feel about my experience with the staff of Wages Funeral Home.  Great, super, service above and beyond, these words just doesn't do justice to the way my family came away feeling.  I know that my brother-in-law, Roy, would have been pleased with the way his funeral was handled, from the beginning to the end.  I know my sister, Roy's wife, was very pleased in the way everything was handled, down to the smallest detail.  I, the brother-in-law and brother, am very grateful that Wages was picked as the Funeral Home to handle Roy's funeral and I will be forever grateful that God saw fit that Wages had the staff that helped us through this time in such a Professional and Heart touching way..

If I can ever help you and your staff in any way, please call on me.  If you or any of your staff are ever in Amerces, please call.  Each of you seem like family.

God Bless,
